Well i see that my brother has abandoned the notion to ever write on here again, so i figure i might as well do what he is not, and that is sharing my thoughts with pretty much anyone who wishes to read them.. i guess that's kind of a scary thought now that i think about it.
You know, i was in the mall earlier today and i saw someone that was my best friend at one time. We didn't have a big fight or anything, but we just stopped talking after a little argument we had. Anyway, i saw this person today and they saw me, i was actually going to be friendly and say hi or at least smile at them, making sure there were still no hard feelings or anything.. but this person looked at me, and very quickly turned their head away. There was not even an attempt to make it a discreet turn of the head, it was very obvious. I mean for all i know, maybe they were just trying to avoid an awkward situation, but i got the feeling that i was just being avoided. Well that's fine and everything you see, but i guess it just shocked me at how rude and inconsiderate people can be sometimes. I suppose that when something like that happens, there's nothing you can do but look back on it and smile at how childish people can be sometimes.
I agree with you, hon. People are inconsiderate of other’s feelings. They seem to forget that, like them, we have feelings as well. In fact, I was cussed out up and down by a man yesterday simply because I mispronounced his name. But the best thing to do is kill them with kindness. If they’re looking for a fight, don’t give them the honor of getting one. And always remember, the best way to get respect is to give it, and I think you handled the situation very well. Props to you. I’ll talk to you later.
I could not agree with you more. Just the other day I was waiting in line when I spotted an old friend; we made eye contact but they just quickly looked away. Well I was sincerely glad to see this person and wanted to wave and say hey..but it was obvious that they did not. Finally I guess they figured that they were not invisible and couldnt hide , so they faked a smile and waved. I guess you just never know what is going on in peoples’ head.
I'll tell you something, Karlee. People are all about number one. The world doesn't care anymore. Don't let anyone fool you and tell them they do, because it isn't the case. People are selfish; all about number one. Look at the world, look at anyone, even me, or you; each and every single person thinks the world revolves around them, in some way. Do you think anyone is thinking about anything going on in anyone elses lives other than their own? No, to everyone, the world rotates around them. Just some people show it more than others. The best thing to do, is smile and move on. Don't try to get back, don't try to repay them. Move along, and you'll have great luck down the road.
well you never really know why people do the things that they do… maybe your friend had a reason as to why she did not gesture….
